With over 35 years of service, BDA is one of the leading lighting and controls manufacturer representatives in the Ottawa region providing lighting design solutions for commercial, architectural, industrial, institutional and outdoor applications.
Lighting is one of the most important aspects to any building and is often overlooked during the design process. BDA is dedicated to providing design assistance including lighting calculations, specifications, controls strategies and design guidelines ensuring clients are provided with quality lighting design solutions.
As the advancement in LED lighting technology continues to blossom and the demand for energy efficient lighting and controls increases, lighting design practices become increasingly challenging. Our team
In 2005, the two friends began their journey in the lighting industry working together at Lumilux. Jean-Simon started working in the quotations department making his way up to project manager to ensure all the projects were running smoothly. On his side, Francois was developing the technical department until under Gilles Seguin guides, they both began their careers as sales representatives.
In 2015, the two partners took over the reins of Lumilux which was then rebranded as BDA Lighting Group. Within the first 5 years they were able to triple the sales and double the team allowing BDA to grow into the agency it is today.

In Ontario, we serve the Nation’s Capital region and the Saint Lawrence river, Cornwall, Brockville, and Kingston. On the Quebec side, our territory extends from Nord-du-Québec and Abitibi-Témiscamingue, through part of the Outaouais region.
